Field Entry #47 - The Watcher Doll: Mournella

Date Logged: October 13th (Rainy Evening)

Location: Attic Box 3B, Widow's Hill Cottage

Specimen: Mournella

Type: Crocheted Familiar / Whisper Doll

Status: Awakened Artifact

Recovered from the remnants of a shuttered cottage, Mournella appears to be a hand-crafted rabbit

doll-crocheted in deep violet and storm-gray fibers. Most notable is the exaggerated heart-shaped loop formed

by her ears and the presence of two mismatched button eyes: one obsidian, one crimson ringed. Locals refer to

her as "The Watcher."

Initial tests confirm she is sentient. Motionless when observed, her posture occasionally shifts subtly when

unattended. Her mouth is tightly sewn with cross-stitches, yet children claim she hums lullabies no adult can

hear. EMF spikes present when placed near mirrors.

The doll is clothed in a Victorian-inspired skirt and scarf, the latter concealing what appears to be a hidden

seam-possibly a secondary orifice or key mechanism. Advisement: DO NOT REMOVE SCARF.

Lore suggests that Mournella was created to watch over grieving children. Instead, she absorbs their pain-and

reflects it back as quiet whispers in the night. It is believed she chooses her home, appearing in spaces where loneliness has taken root.

  Instructions for safe cohabitation:

  1. Whisper a true secret to her each midnight.
  1. Never deny her a place to sit near a window.
  2. If she moves-acknowledge her. She does not like to be ignored.

Further research pending. For now, she remains in Containment Box 3B with mild warding glyphs. Handle

with reverence.
